2018 BMW X2 Snow Testing

I didn't think we'd be seeing a prototype of the BMW X2 so soon, but here it is on camera being tested in winter conditions.

Great find!!

It is pretty cool to see it testing with the i8 and even the upcoming Z5 in the background (I think?!) but the X2 sure does look nice. It definitely sounds extremely quiet.

Too bad there's not much we can get from a video like this.

One thing it does well is in showing the X2's design and proportions which from the look of it might just rival the Infiniti QX30 very well. Along with the Mercedes GLA, but more so the Infiniti.

It looks like the X2 is being tested alongside some X1s. You can tell that the X2 has a more tucked rear end and aggressive roofline toward the C-pillar, especially when all three vehicles are lined up. the size looks smaller too.

Definitely extremely close to the GLA from the side profile. Proportions of the windows, spoiler overhang, etc.

that's how it should be since the X2 is being positioned as a sporty crossover/cuv (or whatever you want to call it), actually i'm surprised we're not seeing more of a coupe styled roof since if you compare what BMW has right now to what's happening on the market, its easy to see they can use something with coupe styling.

think they're keeping the X1 taillights? Can't really tell through the camouflage.

The lights we see on it at the moment probably aren't even the lights that will be there. That's not uncommon at all.

Now that its wearing very little camo and everything looks much more definite, odds are majority of what we see her is what will make its way to market.

Don't know how much more different it can get from what we're seeing here till it hits showrooms.

I'm thinking that BMW will keep the narrow headlights and wide kidney grille, but I can't make out any more details beyond that.
