Possible problems

Recently purchased a 6 month old BMW X2 ex demonstrator with multiple options included.
Rather pleased with the car and excellent to drive, but have had 2 visits back to the dealership already.
Wondered if anyone else has had similar issues.
Oil over filled light illuminated even though no oil has been needed or added, I was told it was a software fault but when checked level was higher than it should be.
Second problem sunroof opened and closed now does not operate at all, It is booked in for a realignment in 19 days time with no hire car.
Not what you would expect from BMW.

Fingers crossed no more faults.

Hey Speross. Sounds to me like your car is filling itself with oil, so I don't see what the problem is lol. On a serious note, I know too much oil can cause some major problems if not addressed, so its good that you insisted on having it checked. Is there a reason why they aren't providing you with a rental? Did they say how long your problems would take to fix?

Exclamation Solutions?

Hi Marko,

Oil problem was solved by an oil change and resetting the electronics?
Sun roof was solved by re-ailgnment and altering the motor settings?
So far no further trouble but sceptical.
Was told no hire cars available to December, poor show for a purchase only 3 months ago.

Glad that your dealer was able to address these issues, but it sounds like they could have provided you with much better support in the interim. Lets hope that you don't have to make any trips back for the next while.
